It started with a friend, and a little one who deserved comfort

Get Mittens didn't begin in a boardroom. It began at a kitchen table, with a friend who was worried about her child.

Her little one was struggling with eczema — the kind that turns everyday moments into uncomfortable ones. Scratchy fabrics, restless nights, the constant scratching that made sore skin worse. Nothing on the market seemed to help, and nothing felt right for a child who just wanted to play and be a kid.

So I decided to make something myself. And what began with one child soon grew into something bigger — because comfort shouldn't have an age limit. Today, I make mittens for the elderly, for special-needs teens and adults, and for little ones alike. Whoever you're caring for, there's something here for every member of the family you love.

The mitten that started it all

I created a custom-fit mitten designed just for my friend's child — one that looked fun, felt impossibly soft, and actually stayed put through all the wriggling and playing that childhood is made of. Something that protected without feeling like a punishment. Something a child would want to wear.

The change was almost immediate. My friend could see the difference every single day — in her child's comfort, in their sleep, in how freely they could go about their little adventures. Her gratitude is the reason Get Mittens exists today.
